I shifted gears to commercial work in the early 1980’s. I was contracted by a small boutique in Claremont to photograph and design their ads for the weekly newspaper The Claremont Courier. The Claremont courier was rated the number one weekly for its use of design and photography in the United States. The original image was in color and the ad for hand painted scarves that the model in the photo designed and sold through the boutique. The ad used was full color with her scarves gently draped across the bottom half of her face.
